The 12 volts poser adapter YA 100 allows 12 volts DC equipment with a power rating up to 100 watts to be operated at 230 volts mains.

In many cases mobile electric appliances, e.g. cool boxes, fans, compressors, vacuum cleaners, coffee machines, cooling and heating devices for drinks and meals are operated through the 12 volts cigarette lighter socket of vehicles. By means of the 12 volts power adapter such mobile electrical appliances can be operated at 230 volts mains without stressing or discharging the vehicle’s battery. The specific advantage for the user is to operate cool boxes or heaters at home before their actual mobile use in order to cool or heat food or drinks in advance.
Consequently the 12 volts adapter YA1100 is in particular applied in the field of leisure, camping and long distance traffic.

The connection is as simple as within the vehicle: the mobile electric appliances are plugges into the 12 volts socket of the 12 volts power adapter. Then the adapter is linked to mains. The 12 volts power adapter provides a save, smoothed 12 volts DC power supply.

A selector switch provides two power levels:

1. 50 watts to operate mobile coffee machines, toasters, etc.
2. 100 watts to connect high-power cool boxes, vacuum cleaners, compressors, etc.

A green LED indicates that the 12 volts power adapter is connected to mains and operational. A red LED warns against overload and malfunction.

The 12 volts power adapter is protected against overload and reverse polarity connection. This protection is achieved alternatively by a replaceable 15A flat fuse or a circuit breaker.

The mains - safety transformers comply with the European norms. The transformers are protected against overload, overheating and short circuit by a temperature- and current sensitive component. After cooling down of the transformer and disconnecting from mains the component is set back automatically; the charger is fully operational again.

The 12 volts power adapters comply with European norms and are marked CE.
